Arthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of Arthritis and typically the type chiropractors see most often. While aging and normal wear and tear can bring on some of it, many people suffer from a rapidly degenerating spine and its effects while assuming it’s “normal”.

Osteoarthritis is not the cause of a condition, but the result of spinal stress and/or dysfunction. Improper movement or alignment in the spine increases wear and tear and can cause spurring and lipping of the vertebrae.

Chiropractic adjustments do not remove arthritis (nothing does), but they can slow the progression by restoring better function and movement into the spine. Medication can improve symptoms by blocking how your body perceives pain, but it does nothing to address the cause and can have some serious side-effects.
